The CUFFSAFE device shown here is fitted with the “Bi LOK” system which dead locks the device.
It will not allow the key to be removed from the device until it is “locked off”.
The “drop down” plate situated at the bottom of the opening in the head of the CUFFSAFE device, allows the use of hinged or chained handcuffs such as the Mark IV & Mark V SAFLOK handcuffs or the peerless type handcuff used by the majority of Law Enforcement and Corrective Service agencies.
The CUFFSAFE device is also available with a soft impact cover that will eliminate or reduce any injury that could be sustained if coming into contact with the head of the device.
The device has been designed so when a person is secured in the CUFFSAFE device with both hands cuffed, it is very difficult for the detainee or prisoner to make contact with any metal surface on top of the device.
